As we conclude the month of February, we are proud to reflect on the accomplishments achieved at Horn, Smith, and Klentzman during this academic year. With the end of SIA testing, we are now shifting our focus to prepare our students for the upcoming STAAR test. Our advanced curriculum continues to foster noticeable growth in student performance, as evidenced by data from CBAs and State Interim Assessments. It is essential that we maintain this momentum as we approach the testing period.
The Advanced Academics department is actively preparing for Year Two of the Young Innovators Summer Academic program. To ensure a smooth preparation process, we have created a structured implementation system. We are currently in phase 1 of the process. Please utilize the documents in your folders to invite students and teachers.
We are also thrilled to congratulate Ms. Paula Pineda for being named one of Alief's Elementary School Teacher of the Year finalists! Her dedication and commitment to excellence in teaching exemplify the values we hold dear in our educational community.
As we gear up for the STAAR assessments, it is crucial to motivate our students to perform at their best. While our students are excelling and meeting academic expectations, we want to ensure they continue this trend and avoid any potential setbacks. Here are some effective strategies to help our students finish the year strong and prepare for testing:
Let’s continue to strive for excellence together as we support our students in achieving their full potential!
