I decided to pursue Mechanical Engineering as my career. I chose this career when I was 14 when I helped my auntie change her oil and fix the engine. When I started building with Lego bricks, I began to make them more mechanical and found it fun and easy to do. My dad was a mechanic for the navy and he taught me about his car engine. I was interested in how things worked and moved, especially machines and clocks.
I took Algebra 2, Geometry Honors and Physics to help me achieve my career choice. I also took a robotic program after school when I was in the third grade till covid-19 hit. At the tech Center, so far I learned how to create an ePortfolio and in my physics/math I learned problem-solving.
I’m in a program for sets within Theater which is an after school activity. They taught me about wood working but mainly team work and communication. I’ve helped/did an oil change and helped with maintenance. I have no employment life so far.
I plan on going to University and/or work part-time upon my graduation. I want to make some money to help pay for things within/from the University. I pick a University cause that gives me the best engineering classes and experience. I don’t plan on changing this and if something does change this then I’ll continue pursuing engineering.
Once I achieve my career goal, I’ll repair cars and fix small mechanical devices. Then I’ll repair more forms of transportation but mainly helicopters. The impact on the world is me helping fix and repair engines for mechanical machines. I believe that I will have a positive impact by helping repair broken machines. I will make a difference by repairing machines that help this world move.
