Empowering the Next Generation. Shaping Australia's Future.
Complete our Youth Outcomes Survey for New South Wales.
The Young Australia Project exists to empower the next generation of Australians through civic engagement, leadership development, and informed participation in public life. We aim to create meaningful opportunities for young Australians to contribute to national conversations, develop their understanding of public policy, and help shape a stronger future for Australia.
Testimonials
“I founded YAP on the belief that young Australians deserve a meaningful place in the national conversation. Our generation is constantly told what not to be, yet too rarely encouraged to understand and appreciate our own culture, heritage, and way of life. I believe we must look beyond our differences, recognise that everyone has their own circumstances and experiences, and rediscover what connects us. In doing so, we can foster a generation that understands its nation, values its history, and takes an active role in shaping its future.
— Mitchell Love, Founder & Director of YAP
"Being involved with YAP is an opportunity for me to be part of something meaningful. I believe it is important for young Australians to take an interest in the future of our country, understand the issues that shape our society, and engage with the ideas that will influence the next generation. YAP provides a platform to do exactly that, and I'm proud to be associated with its vision. "
- Brodee Hart (Associate at YAP)
We provide a platform for young Australians to express their perspectives, engage with important national issues, and contribute constructive ideas to public discussion.
“Active and engaged citizens — Citizens have a voice and can make changes in society.”
— Parliamentary Education Office, Australian Parliament
We encourage informed leadership by helping young Australians develop their knowledge of government, public policy, and the institutions that shape our nation.
“You need an ego to lead, but you can’t lead for your ego.”
— General the Honourable David Hurley, former Governor-General of Australia, speaking about leadership at National Young Leaders Day
