I joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Stout as the Assistant Professor of Project Management in the Operations and Management Department in January 2023. I am the Project Management Minor program adviser at the UW-Stout's College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Management.
The directions of my research thrust include:
The science of project-based organizations: how project-based organizations form, develop, and operate;
The formation of STEM-based business leaders: how to train future executive-level engineer-leaders through formal and informal education; and,
The delivery of critical infrastructure systems: how to plan, deliver, and protect the critical infrastructure systems.
I earned a Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Miroslaw J. Skibniewski at the University of Maryland's Project Management Center for Excellence, housed within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I received an M.S. degree in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering from KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University. I am a certified Project Management Professional as well as a Certified Professional in Supply Management.
Prior to my academic appointment, I worked for Samsung C&T Corporation with increasing project management responsibilities. At Samsung, I was primarily involved in delivering Engineering-Procurement-Construction, or EPC, turnkey critical infrastructure projects in the Middle East, working with people from various races, nationalities, religions, customs, and socioeconomic statuses.
