I am trying to test xenserver 7.6 (and xenserver 7.0) and installing it in vmware workstation (only for testing). I got seagate hard disk (1 TB) in my machine. When I boot xenserver 7.6 for installation, it throws an error, "This host does not appear to have any hard disks. If it exists install driver...... ". I checked xenserver hcl and xenserver 6.2 was listed for seagate. I downloaded xenserver 6.2 ISO, but it says booting from cd rom failed. It doesnt even go to installation part. Can someone please help me here?

Thanks a ton Tobias. While installing i selected guest operating system as vmware esxi. I have seen lot of articles on internet installing xenserver in same way. So, tried it and ended up in the error. This time i selected linux and 3.X kernel version 64 bit and it worked.

My beloved Pixma MG2200 printer/scanner has given up the ghost and I need to get rid of it. I've seen the question about other related devices, but not my specific one. Does the MG2200 have a hard drive that needs to be erased before I recycle it and if so, how do I do that?

And not just bass. A lot of tracks also have hard panned drums and vocals. It's pretty annoying when listening to headphones, but even without it doesn't sound optimal. Why was this done? I'm talking about tracks from the 60s and 70s.

I also like to steam my eggs, as seen in my tutorial for 6-minute soft boiled eggs. This method is super fast because you only use about an inch of water, which comes to a boil very quickly. We tried before to make hard boiled eggs using a different method and horribly failed and wasted a dozen eggs. This worked like a charm!!!!! My husband thanks you for his deviled eggs.

The marketing team sometimes doesn't produce any picture at all. If you do a Google image search for the image from the Toshiba page on Amazon you linked to, you'll find that same image for many other drives. It's basically clip art. There are so many models of hard drives, it's such an easily identifiable image and there's really not much marketable difference between the physical appearance of their guts (nobody really cares what the inside of a mechanical drive looks like at this point - it's on the same level as a picture of a DVD or, say, a piece of plywood on a home improvement store's web site), that many times there just isn't a special image, and stock art is used.

But in layman's terms, you may notice water hardness when your hands still feel slimy after washing with soap and water, or when your drinking glasses at home become less than crystal clear. The simple definition of water hardness is the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in the water. Hard water is high in dissolved minerals, largely calcium and magnesium. You may have felt the effects of hard water, literally, the last time you washed your hands. Depending on the hardness of your water, after using soap to wash you may have felt like there was a film of residue left on your hands. In hard water, soap reacts with the calcium (which is relatively high in hard water) to form "soap scum". Water systems using groundwater as a source are concerned with water hardness, since as water moves through soil and rock it dissolves small amounts of naturally-occurring minerals and carries them into the groundwater supply. Water is a great solvent for calcium and magnesium, so if the minerals are present in the soil around a water-supply well, hard water may be delivered to homes. Water hardness varies throughout the United States. In areas of the country where the water is relatively hard (see map below), industries might have to spend money to soften their water, as hard water can damage equipment. Hard water can even shorten the life of fabrics and clothes (does this mean that high-school students who live in areas with hard water keep up with the latest fashions since their clothes wear out faster?).

As the image of the inside of a water-supply pipe shows, long-term movement of hard water through a pipe can result in what is called scale buildup. Just as in the human body where blood vessels can be reduced in inside diameter due to cholesterol buildup, water pipes can gradually close up resulting in less water movement through the pipe and a lowering of water pressure.

Water hardness is based on major-ion chemistry concentrations. Major-ion chemistry in groundwater is relatively stable and generally does not change over time. Although this map illustrates data from 1975, these data have been found to be accurate and useful in current assessments.
