Good News Girls
As an educator with a proven track record, I don't just teach – I build capacity, knowledge, confidence, and creativity to help you take action to design a life that fits!
At Western Connecticut State University, I taught classes in philosophy (including a popular interdisciplinary Philosophy of Happiness class), humanistic studies, honors, global business, and first-year experience. Through the University's Career Success Center, I taught undergraduate courses in life design, job search strategies, and workplace behavior.
My student-centered approach earned me the Adjunct of the Year Teaching Award across 17 colleges and universities in the Connecticut State system.
As a Certified University Educator in Stanford's Designing Your Life method and a Life Design Catalyst Facilitator, I'm your go-to guide for unlocking your best self through deep reflection and decisive action!
Outside of my private coaching practice, I serve as the Director of Life Design at Boston Global and Career Services Coordinator at CT State: Northwestern.
I'm also a Bridging Differences in Higher Education University Fellow from Berkeley, expertly trained in the art of listening and finding common ground, and hold a trauma-based education certificate from the University of Florida – ensuring a supportive and understanding environment.
I created and coordinated a robust high school Career Experience Program at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, offering meaningful experiences and a range of programs to introduce students to various career options they could pursue.
Beyond the classroom, I'm a creator and cohost of the Main Street Moxie podcast and a senior contributing writer for Main Street Magazine.
I earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and philosophy, as well as a master's and Ph.D. in philosophy. I have also worked in the business and non-profit sectors at organizations such as Arthur Andersen & Co. and The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
I also need to give a shameless plug for an oral history project I conceptualized and completed this past year. It was a passion project that I undertook for the joy of it. It explores the work of the longtime and dedicated foresters of Great Mountain Forest. You can listen to the podcasts and watch the videos here.
