I’ve walked a very long and often painful healing journey, and through it, I discovered how deeply we all need something that reflects back our true worth — something we can hold in our hands that feels as beautiful and meaningful as who we really are inside. This journal was born out of that need.
I didn’t realize for a long time that I wasn’t listening to my inner voice. There were so many things I did that were wonderful, but I still found I was putting myself down, feeling like I was not good enough or allowed to be happy and I couldn’t figure out why. I created this journal for others who have felt the sting of pain, rejection, or being silenced by others. This is for anyone who’s ready to begin coming home to themselves — one page at a time.
I hope anyone who uses this journal begins to reconnect with their inner voice — especially if they’ve lost touch with it over time. More than anything, I want readers to treat themselves with compassion and begin speaking to themselves with kindness and love. This journal is an invitation to love yourself more fully and completely, without needing outside validation to feel worthy of love. I hope it helps build strong, healthy boundaries and to recognize each soul is absolutely worthy of protecting their peace. Their voice — your voice — is the most important one when it comes to living your life.
Outside of my healing journey, I live a life full of creativity, expression, and hands-on passion. I grew up riding and training horses, and while I don’t have a farm now, that connection to animals and nature still lives in me. I hold a degree in culinary arts, I am an amateur photographer, and I spent over 25 years teaching piano and voice. Music continues to be a huge part of my life — I perform regularly, whether it’s just me and my piano or with a group.
I’m also a proud career changer. In 2020, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity — a major shift that reflects my curiosity and strength in learning new things, even during difficult times. I enjoy working on my home, which is a fixer-upper I’ve been slowly transforming into a beautiful, welcoming space for myself and my family. I also love cars — especially my Ford Contour SVT, which I drive daily and maintain myself. And when I need peace, I write music. It helps me process emotions, shift my perspective, and connect with others through something deeply personal and true.
My favorite way to start the day is waking up to my little furry friends and connecting with them as they stretch and cuddle close. There’s something grounding about beginning the morning with love and stillness. Then comes the black coffee — simple and strong — which makes everything feel a little more alive. On my days off, I love sitting out on the deck with my coffee, listening to the birds, breathing in the quiet, and letting nature set the tone for the day. It’s a moment of peace that reminds me I’m safe, supported, and right where I need to be.
