The name "awai" is derived from an ancient Japanese word meaning "the space/interval between two things facing each other."

Based in Hiroshima, Japan.

Through the art of improvisation, awai continues to explore the depths of his own essence, creating a unique musical world centered around the themes of "Nature" and "Jazz."

In addition to producing his own concert events, he actively expands his professional activities through TikTok live streaming, composing, arranging, and offering piano lessons.

Cherishing the subtle ripples and grand swells felt from various natural phenomena, awai continues to weave and give life to improvised music.
