YOSHI Senses embodies a modern-retro Japanese theme. By day, we serve a selection of coffee beverages, desserts, and specialty coffee cocktails. As night falls and YOSHI Senses comes to life, we invite you to step back into Japan’s Taisho era. Through our themed menu, we bring you the literary works of Taisho-era writers, the vibrant metropolitan charm of Japan’s eight regions, and the cultural essence of Taisho-period Taiwan. More than just a feast for the senses, this experience is an immersive journey through time and space.

House Rules

No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the premises.
Outside Food: Guests may bring outside food, subject to a cleaning fee of 50 TWD per person.
Seating Limit: If there is a waiting list, seating is limited to 2 hours per party.
Afternoon Minimum Order: Each guest must order at least one drink; no service charge applies.
Evening Minimum Spend:
- Weekdays: 400 TWD per person
- Weekends (Friday & Saturday): 600 TWD per person
  (Minimum spend excludes service and cleaning fees.)
Responsible Drinking: Please drink responsibly. A cleaning fee of 2,000 TWD will be charged in case of vomiting.

The Literati of the Café

During Japan’s Taisho period, literary figures gathered in cafes, indulging in drinks and sweets while engaging in spirited discussions about each other’s works. Much like the celebrated salons of 17th-century France, these cafes became vibrant hubs where writers and artists from across the country came together to exchange ideas.

Inspired by this rich cultural heritage, we reinterpret notable Taisho-era literary works through our drinks, thoughtfully pairing them with desserts to highlight their unique characteristics. At the same time, we embrace the essence of Taisho café culture by incorporating non-alcoholic elements, ensuring a welcoming experience for those who prefer not to drink. Here, everyone can share in the moment, immersed in a timeless blend of flavors, conversation, and creativity.

Through three notebooks chronicling the protagonist’s life experiences, Osamu Dazai weaves a deeply personal narrative, reflecting his own journey and introspections. Just as a single person evolves through different phases of life, each transformation shaping a distinct identity, no two individuals are ever truly the same.

During the Taisho period, Japan expanded its assimilation policies and investments in Taiwan, enhancing its infrastructure, agriculture, and industries. Blessed with fertile lands, Taiwan became renowned for its fragrant teas and luscious fruits.
