Intersubjectivity

Many different perspectives, viewpoints, and ideas exist when it comes to experiencing interaction with others and the influence that this interaction has on the individual.

This artwork explores personal identity through a dissociative experience and was originally created as a video for a theater show. It uses STYLEGAN, a type of neural network based on machine learning, to generate visual images of faces. The engine interpolates between two figures, with the first character, the "Alpha," having a slight advantage over the second. New characters are created by piling up the results of each iteration, with each character influencing the next. The process of creating the work involved trial and error, leading to the creation of additional works that highlight the engine's potential for further research.

The project was created in collaboration with and thanks to Dr. Eyal Gross as part of the "Haflogger" a residency programming
