Baby Joy I. Tinoy,
A 21-year-old BAELS student, is the creative mind behind Yorokobi Crafts, a small business rooted in passion, creativity, and the desire to bring joy to others. Inspired by her love for cutesy and aesthetic handmade items, she turned a simple moment of boredom in 2021 into a meaningful venture that reflects her artistic skills and personal style. As a student entrepreneur, she shows dedication and discipline by balancing her academic responsibilities with managing her business—crafting products, handling orders, and delivering them personally. With a heart for creativity and service, Baby Joy continues to grow Yorokobi Crafts, aiming to share happiness through every carefully made piece while improving her skills and expanding her reach.
How it Started?
The business started in September 2021 when her sister had unused beads. Out of boredom, she began making many accessories. In December, she gave one of her bracelets to a friend as a gift for her 18th birthday. Her friend suggested that she should start her own business, which inspired her to pursue the idea. Because of that encouragement, she officially launched the business on January 21, 2022. She chose this kind of business because she is a fan of cute things and enjoys sharing her aesthetic with others. She named the business Yorokobi Crafts because she wanted a unique name. “Yorokobi” means joy in Japanese, and she liked how it sounded and how it matched the aesthetic she wanted for her brand. She added “Crafts” because she has many hobbies and plans to sell different handmade products in the future, making the name a reflection of the things she creates.
