What Makes Young Life’s Family Camps So Special?

As a Christian youth outreach ministry founded in 1941, Young Life has decades of experience understanding kids and their families. That knowledge has helped us create a premier family vacation experience.

All summer long Lake Champion is set apart for teenagers to get away from the pressures of everyday life, have fun with friends and their Young Life leaders, and hear the message of God's love in terms they can understand. We have reserved this weekend to allow families of all ages to experience Young Life together! Everything is planned with families in mind with a great mix of free time and planned fun. You will have the opportunity to experience Young Life Club, hear from a camp speaker, enjoy served meals around a family table, and other surprises that will make your time at Camp memorable! You will also have plenty of time to relax and enjoy everything Lake Champion has to offer!

Housing

Because Young Life properties are designed for students, the housing is dormitory style: mothers with daughters and fathers with sons. We call this traditional housing and our trips in the past have loved staying together! 

We want every family to attend camp, so please contact us if you have any special housing needs or requests. We can certainly make accommodations!

Pricing & Registration

HOUSING:

Housing: Because Family Camp operates at a youth camp, our families will be placed in very nice dorms, typically split by gender. We have flexibility with housing, so please don't let this get in the way! If you have concerns, please chat with us. (Example: York has an entire building, guys have 1st floor, girls have 2nd floor)

Special Needs: However, we recognize that some families have circumstances beyond their control that would require them to need upgraded housing (ie: one family member has a disability). Please let us know if that's you, and we will request a suite or apartment for you. 

Campership/Scholarship

If you need campership in order to make this trip possible for your family, please do not hesitate to ask. We have created a confidential request form that will be sent to the Metro Director and Area Admin. All requests will be evaluated. We don't want finances to get in the way.

$100 Deposit & Registration due by August 1st

Final Payment due by August 26th
