October 1st, 2023: The series article for Our Research written by Yoriko Tominaga was published in Oyo Butsuri (in Japanese).
September 11th, 2023: Mr. Kenkichi Suzuki and Ms. Miho Fujioka joined in our group as a technical staff and a research support staff, respectively.
September 1st, 2023: Our latest paper has been accepted in International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
June 30th, 2023: Our research project "Establishment of a Technology to Create Thin Films and Quantum Structures of Semiconductors Using Marine Bacteria and Elucidation of Their Mechanisms" has been accepted as a Grant-in-Aid for Challenging Research (Exploratory) of JSPS KAKENHI (23K17888).
May 24th, 2023: Our latest paper has been accepted in Optics Letters.
May 10th, 2023: The series article for CHALLENGE OF YOUNG RESEARCHER written by Yoriko Tominaga was published in OPTRONICS (in Japanese).
April 6th, 2023: 3 undergraduate students joined in our group.
April 1st, 2023: The technical staff, Dr. Homare Yoshida, moved to the research group of Toyohashi University of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher. Congratulations!
March 15th, 2023: Our latest paper was published in Acta Biomaterialia.
March 3rd, 2023: Yoriko Tominaga received the Excellent Poster Award at the results debriefing (domestic) of Research Center for Biomedical Engineering (令和4年度生体医歯工学共同研究拠点成果報告会 優秀ポスター賞). I would like to thank everyone involved.
October 22nd, 2022: Our latest paper was published in Journal of Crystal Growth.
October 14th, 2022: Our collaborator, Dr. Hiroki Imabayashi, an Assistant Professor of University of Fukui received ADMETA plus 2022 Poster Award. Congratulations!

April 1st, 2022: Our research project "Full picture of the mechanism of crystal growth of compound semiconductors by marine photosynthetic bacteria" has been accepted as a JST Fusion Oriented REsearch for disruptive Science and Technology (FOREST) program (JPMJFR213R).

November 19th, 2021: Our latest research results about growth of compound semiconductors using marine photosynthetic bacteria were featured in Nihon Keizai Shimbun (one of the national newspapers in Japan).

September 10th, 2021: Our research project "Visualization and control of ordered structures of bismide III-V compound semiconductors toward revealing the mechanism of their functions" has been accepted as a Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A): "Progressive condensed matter physics inspired by hyper-ordered structures" of JSPS KAKENHI (21H05566).
July 9th, 2021: Our research project "Elucidation and control of formation mechanism for semiconductor crystals on the basis of transfer of electrons and ions performed by bacteria" has been accepted as a Grant-in-Aid for Challenging Research (Exploratory) of JSPS KAKENHI (21K18911).
