Biography

I am Principal Researcher, Energy ICT Research Section, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute(ETRI), and Assistant Professor, University of Science and Technology(UST). I joined the ETRI, in 2001. I am currently working as a Principal Researcher with the Energy ICT Research Section. Since 2001, I have developed home network management agent, context-aware intelligent agent, wireless LAN platform and ubiquitous service framework, smart grid, energy management systems, virtual power plant(VPP) systems, and energy trading systems. My current research interests include demand-side energy management optimization, demand-supply energy balancing, distributed energy resources(DERs) management technology, energy broker mechanism for small-scale DERs, and low-end standard platform for factory energy management(FEMS). I received the Excellent Paper Award at the Telecommunications Technology Association(TTA), in 2008. I won the Excellent Researcher Award in ETRI, in 2019.

I got my doctoral degree from Electrical Engineering, Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST), South Korea, in 2020. Prof. Jun Kyun Choi, director of the MNLab, was my PhD advisor. My thesis title is Demand-based Trading Mechanism of Energy Broker System with Dynamic Pricing Model of Renewable Energy Sources. I did my undergraduate in Electrical Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University(SKKU), South Korea.
