Research Interest
The Emerging Semiconductor Thin Film Lab (ESTL) at Hongik University, led by Professor Chanyoung Yoo, specializes in advanced research on next-generation semiconductor technologies utilizing atomic layer deposition (ALD). Our primary focus areas include phase-change memory and ovonic threshold switches for neuromorphic computing, oxide and chalcogenide-based thin film transistors (TFTs), detailed ALD deposition mechanisms and surface analysis, as well as metal deposition for advanced semiconductor packaging.
