On the 8th of November, the HRH hosted its second field trip to NKDB, an NGO dedicated to documenting and raising awareness for the situation of human rights abuses in the DPRK.
Our members were first given a tour of NKDB's exhibition 'The Echo Never Stops'. This exhibition contains victim testimonies, records of NKDB's work, art by defectors, and sentiments from those now resettled in South Korea about how their lives used to be in the North. Following the tour, members gathered in the conference room to receive a lecture on the DPRK's performance under international standards, including their participation in each UPR cycle and how their support for recommendations or lack thereof is reflected in testimonies from defectors.
