The Human Rights Hub is a student organization at Yonsei University's Graduate School of International Studies, founded in 2023 by students Alexander Rivera, Thyene Moreira and Sara Taibi under the guidance of advisory professor Joanna Hosaniak.
The Hub will do this by:
Conducting academic research, seminars, workshops, conferences, and field trip visits to advance understanding of human rights principles, instruments, and realities.
Promoting dialogue, awareness, and collaboration on human rights among students, scholars, practitioners, and the wider public.
Advocating for the promotion, protection, and defense of human rights at the local, national, and international levels.
Organizing campaigns and other advocacy events that strive to impact our societies positively.ย
Building networking and partnerships with other institutions, organizations, and stakeholders committed to human rights.
Provide opportunities for the personal and professional development of our members.
Respect for Rights
The Hub will promote an environment that respects diversity and rejects any form of discrimination.
Accountability
The Hub will be accountable for its actions and ensure transparency in its work.
Participation
The Hub will involve all stakeholders, including civil society, academia, and other organizations.
Efficiency
The Hub will work effectively to achieve its goals and regularly measure its progress.
