Bio:
Yong Lee is Associate Professor of Technology, Economy, and Global Affairs at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. Lee is founder and director of the Future of Labor Lab and also the Technology Ethics Program Chair at the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good. Lee's research intersects the fields of labor economics, technology, entrepreneurship, and urban economics. His recent research examines technology and labor, focusing on how artificial intelligence and robotics affect labor and inequality and how society interacts with these new technologies. In relation to technology and labor, Lee's research also examines the impact of aging and demographic change. Prior to joining the Notre Dame Lee was the SK Center Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. He was also Assistant Professor of Economics at Williams College in Massachusetts. He received his PhD in Economics from Brown University, a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, and bachelor's degree and master's degree in architecture from Seoul National University. Lee worked as a real estate development consultant and architecture designer as he transitioned from architecture to economics.
