Internationally popular artist Yohani de Silva has won the ‘Kala Keerthi Abhimani’ award for her contribution to Sri Lanka’s music industry.

State Minister of National Heritage, Performing Arts and Rural Arts Promotion Vidura Wickramanayaka told Parliament today that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has taken steps to recognise Yohani with the State award.

Vidura Wickramanayake further said Yohani has brought international fame to Sri Lanka as an artist and the country bestows its best wishes to her.
