International Yoga Day Celebration at Nazareth Primary School.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Nazareth Primary School celebrated the event on 20th April 2025 with a meaningful assembly for the students of Grades 1 to 4. The aim was to spread awareness about the importance of yoga and its benefits in daily life.
The event began with a warm welcome by a few of our students, who shared the significance of Yoga Day, which is observed globally on June 21st, as declared by the United Nations.
One of the most impactful parts of the assembly was the explanation of simple yoga exercises, including breathing techniques and basic poses, to improve flexibility, concentration, and inner peace.
Students were encouraged to make yoga a part of their daily routine for better focus, physical well-being, and mental calmness.
A Yoga Pledge was taken, followed by a beautiful poem recitation that helped calm young minds and prepare them for the yoga demonstration. The demonstration included both standing and sitting asanas such as Tadasana, Trikonasana, and Butterfly Pose, led by the Physical Education teacher, Mrs. Julie.
The assembly concluded with a heartfelt message reminding everyone that yoga is not just for a day but a way of life for lifelong health and well-being.
