We want the act of playing board games to be like riding a bike. You can subscribe to bike-related magazines. Do you need magazines about bike parts and sportspeople? For some, these are very important. However, no. All you need is your bike. And sometimes a map. We want to give you both. A bike – a collection of games. And a map – all goodness making your life easy, the content.

The idea for Rusty Industry was born from my love of the economy. I know--that’s not something you hear everyday! But I really do believe that every person is an entrepreneur at heart. Just look at the longevity of Monopoly, as well as the popularity of Catan and Brass: Lancashire.

The modern games definitely scratched my entrepreneurial itch, but I was frequently left feeling unsatisfied afterwards. Some games lacked depth and replayability, while others were intimidating and difficult to teach to others. I got to work to develop a bridge between the two.

After over 125 hours of playtesting and tweaking, I’ve established what I like to call an "interactive economy", where players can see the effects of supply and demand unique to each playthrough. That mechanic is the heart of the game. In my opinion, it really allows an economy-driven game to blossom.

Forget lengthy rulebooks. Just dive in, expand, and enjoy.
