Welcome to our laboratory at the School of Pharmacy, Sunkyunkwan University.

Our laboratory is dedicated to investigating the fundamental molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying chronic liver diseases and tumor microenvironments. We focus on how metabolic dysregulation, immune signaling, extracellular matrix remodeling, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress contribute to the progression of liver pathologies, including metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), liver fibrosis, and cancer.

Our goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets and develop effective treatment strategies to prevent or reverse the progression of chronic liver diseases. Through integrated approaches that combine molecular pharmacology, advanced disease modeling, multi-omics approaches, and translational research, we aim to contribute to provide insights that bridge basic mechanisms to therapeutic innovation.
