The college is a 5 minute walk away from the Gloucester Green bus station and a 14 minute walk from the train station. When checking in, please go to the Porter's lodge which is to the right directly inside of the main entrance. Note that in the evening, the main gate closes but a small door through the gate remains open.
Most accommodation will be at the St John's College and includes breakfasts. There will be a conference dinner on Thursday, but we will not be providing any other dinner nor any lunches. The following is a selection of food options in a walking distance from the college (and there are many more which we haven't listed!):
Najar's - Cheap Lebanese wraps, no seating.
Gloucester Green - World food market, lots of good stalls, open Wed-Sat, outdoor seating.
White Rabbit - Pub with pizza, next to Gloucester Green.
Bbuona - Good pizza, next to Gloucester Green.
Three Thousand - Chinese noodles, fast and large portions.
Ramen Kulture - Japanese food, closed on Mondays.
Lamb & Flag - Nearest pub.
Vaults and Garden - Cafeteria-style cafe, great scones and tea.
Branca - Italian deli, great salads and pizza slices.
Covered Market - Assortment of small food shops, often crowded though.
The Gardeners Arms (on Plantation Road) - Vegetarian/vegan pub.
Dishoom - Good Indian food.
Chester Arms - Far away, but very good steak platter. (Requires booking for dinner).
Almost all places will accept card payments so you shouldn't need any cash with you.
