GRSW Young Life Church Partner - Ivanrest CRC (Link to Job Description: Full-time Director of Student Ministry)
Description
Full-covenant church partnership, placed by Young Life. The job description as youth director of the church calls for the church partner to spend 30% of their time doing outreach ministry to the community with Young Life and 70% as the church youth pastor.
Responsibilities
1. A growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Ability and desire to communicate with middle school, high school or college students.
3. Willingness to be trained, have a teachable spirit, and be accountable for your actions.
4. Reflect Christ in your attitude and lifestyle at home, at school, at work, with peers and at Young Life.
5. Live an exemplary life in the areas of language, drugs, alcohol, smoking, sexuality (in accordance with the Young Life Faith and Conduct Policy).
6. Live an exemplary life in the areas of social media and online interactions. Everything you type, post, like, share, tweet, retweet, etc. represents Young Life and ultimately Jesus Christ.
7. Desire to participate in a team ministry.
Qualifications
1. You will be cared for and supported by the area Young Life staff and a local adult support team.
2. You will be involved with and responsible to fellow team members and a team leader.
3. You will be involved in appropriate friendships with students with the goal to reach all students for Christ regardless of all ethnic, racial or socioeconomic backgrounds.
4. Training and support from the regional Young Life Church Partner group.
