Dr. Yuankai Zhang, is an associate professor at Beihang University. He is a member of the “Future Urban Transportation” at the National Basic Science Research Center and a member of the “Information and Logistics Management of Emerging E-commerce” in the National Innovative Research Group. His main research area is the optimization of digital and intelligent service operations, with research directions including e-commerce and smart logistics, aviation emergency management, data-driven intelligent decision-making, etc. Since 2013, he has been engaged in research on the optimization of large-scale online retail order fulfillment and aviation emergency landing. His relevant research achievements have been published in journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research, Transportation Research Part E, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Annals of Operations Research, and Journal of Management Sciences in China.
As the project leader, he has received funding from projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scientists, the General Program of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (First-class Funding), and the Special Funding of the Postdoctoral Science Foundation. At the same time, he has participated in projects such as the National Basic Science Center Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major projects, key projects, and key international cooperation projects. In addition, he has received awards such as the “Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award Program” of the Management Science and Engineering Society (only 10 people nationwide per year), and the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing.
