I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, USA. My group is primarily interested in the development of novel functional materials derived from woody and agricultural biomass. We use materials science, polymer science, and physical chemistry approaches. Please see my google scholar profile and CV for more information.
I earned my Ph.D. in Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Perry in 2014. After my postdoctoral training with Dr. Sergiy Minko at The University of Georgia, I started as an assistant professor at Mississippi State University in 2017. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Materials Science and Engineering at Korea University, and worked at Samsung Corning Precision Glass in South Korea.
