Hi All, After years of searching, I found the artist of a painting I have hanging in the house. She, Mary, gave the painting to her brother, I can see why. And Mary married a congressmen...more below. I would like to donate this picture to the family or church in the area, it is great history and an amazing man! This painting was owned by Mary R. McKenzie, identified as the sister of Dr. David C. McKenzie (1865–1933), a long-serving physician and public health figure in Granville, New York.

Dr. McKenzie is documented in local records and newspaper archives, including a 1933 obituary describing his decades of service to the community.

The McKenzie family was deeply rooted in religious and civic life, reflected in both the subject of the artwork and the family’s documented character.

The painting represents a tangible link to this family and to Granville’s historical medical and social fabric.
