Yiran Wang

Now I'm looking for a postdoctoral fellow position in the US or Canada starting in Fall 2024.  I have research experience in Bayesian inference and statistical ecology. However, I'm also open to new topics such as causal inference, multi-omics, and spatial analysis. Here is my CV.

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo, supervised by Prof.  Audrey Béliveau and Prof. Martin Lysy.

My research is mainly concerned with Bayesian hierarchical modeling and is motivated by applications in a variety of fields. Currently, I am working on capture-recapture methods and population size estimation. Moreover, I am also interested in various topics in Bayesian methods. I am still learning more and more new areas of statistics and biostatistics.
