Dr. Yi-Ning Tu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Information Science and Chair of the MBA Program in International Management (imMBA) at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. She received her Ph.D. in Information Management from National Chengchi University. Her academic expertise includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, data and text mining, recommender systems, decision support systems and business analytics, digital innovation, and responsible AI.
Her research focuses on applying computational and data-driven approaches to information retrieval, recommendation, prediction, text analytics, and intelligent decision support. She has published in international journals including Information Processing & Management, Expert Systems with Applications, and the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and has led multiple research projects funded by Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council.
Dr. Tu is also actively engaged in technology-enhanced education and applied innovation. She teaches courses in AI, data mining, programming, information systems, and digital product development, and has promoted interdisciplinary project-based learning through the Interdisciplinary Micro Program in Big Data. Student teams under her supervision have received multiple first-place and major awards in Taiwan’s national information application competitions.
Beyond teaching and research, she serves as the IAJBS School Representative for the College of Management at Fu Jen Catholic University and participates in the IAJU BIPP global cohort. Her professional service also includes engagements with Taiwan’s financial regulatory sector, the Taiwan AI Academy, Taipei City Government, and public-sector digital capacity-building initiatives
