Dr. Yi-Ning Tu is an Associate Professor specializing in big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and data-driven applications. She received her Ph.D. in Management of Information Systems and has served in the Statistics and Information Systems Department for over fourteen years. Her research focuses on developing advanced computational models for data mining, machine learning, and AI-driven decision-making.
Dr. Tu has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals and has presented her findings at international conferences. She is dedicated to integrating cutting-edge AI techniques into real-world applications, including image processing, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics. As the convenor of the Big Data Cross-Domain Micro-Program at FJCU, she supervises a team of about 20 students, assisting in various data analysis projects and tackling complex analytical challenges.
Beyond research, Dr. Tu is passionate about mentoring students and fostering innovation in data science. Since 2018, she has been committed to providing students with hands-on experience in real-world research and analysis projects. She also teaches students to design and develop websites and applications to implement innovative algorithms. Under her guidance, more than 10 student teams have won first-place awards in national competitions related to information systems, application development, and big data analytics.
