Congressman Gerry Connolly is a proven leader and public servant devoted to improving his district, his state, and his country.

Congressman Connolly is willing to listen and gain perspective on the issues that connect us, including comprehensive gun control, criminal justice reform, and improving our public education system. He is dedicated to representing all of his constituents regardless of race, religion, or age. He shows his dedication through holding town halls and engaging with the community in his district.

As a member of Congress, he has offered comprehensive answers to our country’s problems, including gun control. He has sponsored legislation that would close the gun show loophole, establish universal background checks before buying a gun, and reinstate the assault weapons ban. He believes in taking concrete steps to ensure our schools are safe and to guarantee students a chance to speak up for themselves and have their voices heard. He joined us at the March for Our Lives in DC, welcomed us to his office for meetings, and has hosted town halls with us to discuss gun control.

He has been and will continue to be a strong combatant against the racist rhetoric that we have seen in recent years that is so antithetical to American values.

We firmly believe that there is nobody better to represent Virginia’s 11th Congressional District.

Virginia’s First Congressional District deserves a leader who will fight for our best interests in Congress. That candidate is Vangie Williams.

Congressman Rob Wittman has failed to properly represent his constituents, and he has failed to work and communicate with the residents of his district. For months, he refused to denounce the KKK, a group known for its blatant bigotry and hatred and that has recently become more active in America’s First District. This kind of negligence cannot be tolerated. It’s time to replace Wittman this November.

As a mother of six and the first Black woman nominated for Congress in Virginia’s First District, Vangie knows that representation matters. She knows the challenges faced by parents, students, and families every day across the country. As a professional problem solver, she knows how to find solutions to our problems.

As our representative Vangie will work to find straight-forward, common sense solutions to our nation's most pressing issues. Human rights, net neutrality, and broadband access are just a few of the things she will fight for in Congress.

As a student group, we know Vangie Williams is the candidate who will fight for us in Washington.

As a student group, we believe one of the most important elected offices is the school board. It is vital that we have representatives who will speak up for students and work with us to improve our schools. However, for many years, that hasn’t been happening in Prince William County. Partisan fighting divides our school board, and our school board representatives have lost sight of what their purpose is. Instead of working to improve our schools and helping our students and teachers, they have made decisions that actively harm our community.

It is time for our school board members to end their partisan fighting and get back to working for us. To do that, they need a chairman who cares about Prince William County, our community, and our students. That chairman is Dr. Babur Lateef.

As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Lateef has served our community for years, and as a parent, he knows what’s best for our students. He is dedicated to improving our schools and our community as a whole, and he is the only candidate who knows how to get it done.

With all the challenges facing the modern schools, it’s time for Prince William County Schools to look toward the future, and that’s why we support Dr. Babur Lateef.
