Hi, I am Yilun (Ellen) Xing,
a PhD candidate in Industrial & Systems Engineering, and an MS student in Statistics at the University of Washington, Seattle, planning to get both degrees in June 2024.
I have been working as a research assistant in the Human Factors and Statistical Modeling (HFSM) Lab with Prof. Linda Boyle (recently got a promotion at NYU) since Autumn 2019.
Before joining HFSM, I worked as a research assistant in the Traffic Safety Research Group advised by Prof. Xuesong Wang from 2016-2019.
I have a strong passion for investigating, analyzing, and evaluating the issues in interface/system designs to help improve users' wellbeing, especially drivers.
