Welcome! I am Alan, an applied economist interested in behavioral nudges, sustainability and food choice, food marketing, consumer behavior, environmental valuation, and discrete choice modeling, among others. I love materializing novel ideas into economic research questions with first-hand data collected via surveys and experiments.

I am an assistant professor of agricultural economics at Fort Hays State University. I received my Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University in 2022. I also hold master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Delaware and in Statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
