Welcome! I'm an (incoming) Assistant Professor of Economics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My research interests are labor and urban economics, with a focus on people's commuting and location choices. I also study the labor market effects of corporate tax policies using employee-employer matched data.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Prior to UBC, I obtained my master's degree from the National University of Singapore and my bachelor's from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. I also worked as a pre-doc research assistant at NUS Business School.
My Chinese name is 段伊戈.
