Welcome to my website! I'm Yi-Chung Chen(陳奕中), currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Purdue University, co-advised by Prof. Jing Gao and Prof. David Inouye. My research focuses on trustworthy machine learning. Prior to this, I worked as an engineer at Mediatek, specializing in the development of model quantization tools. I earned my Bachelor of Science from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in 2021, where I was mentored by Prof. Hong-Han Shuai and Wen-Huang Cheng. I then completed my Master's at National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2023, under the guidance of Prof. Ming-Syan Chen.
Throughout my career, I have delved into diverse applications of machine learning, such as enhancing image quality, estimating human poses using WiFi signals, and assessing contributions in federated learning systems. Additionally, I co-founded Stylins, a startup that offered an online virtual try-on service. While the venture has since ceased operations, it was a valuable experience that highlighted the critical need for efficiency and reliability in machine learning methods. This realization has steered my current focus towards efficient and trustworthy machine learning, with the goal of making advanced artificial intelligence technologies more accessible to everyone.
