The 14th edition of Young Geometric Group Theory (YGGT) will take place on 8th–12th June 2026 at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study in Seoul, South Korea.
The purpose of YGGT is to bring together early-career researchers working in geometric group theory, giving them the opportunity to learn from one another and from the invited senior mathematicians, broaden their knowledge of the field, and share their own research.
This edition is the first to be held outside Europe and has the added aim of fostering meaningful and lasting connections between research groups in Asia and those in other parts of the world.
The main activity of the conference will consist of four mini-courses, which are intended to give an overview of key areas in geometric groups theory. These will be complemented by five research talks.
As is customary for YGGT, there will be several discussion sessions, which are informal parallel sessions on topics suggested by participants. There will also be opportunities for lightning talks and a poster session.
