Senior Associate Engineer - SI Engine Mechatronics [July 2021 - August 2022]
Associate Engineer - SI Engine Mechatronics [July 2019 - June 2021]
I started working in the Performance development team in Caterpillar building 1-D simulation models. Subsequently, I moved to the mechatronics team where my focus was on Engine Testing, System Identification for Plant determination, Multi-Input Multi-Output controller development, Frequency Domain Analysis, model-in-loop controller testing, learning industry protocols for signal communication and technical specification interpretation for establishing requirements. I have widened my industry expertise by working on Process Automation Projects that included introduction of automatic checks process for model error detection in Simulink before the erroneous software get flashed on engine controller unit. In addition, I have been working on Machine Learning and Predictive Algorithms and putting my knowledge of system design into developing the Digital Twin for Proactive Wastegate Failure detection. Recognizing my expertise in performance simulation, I was chosen to be part of a special project on a Hybrid Power System sizing study project involving use of a combination of Biogas Genset and Solar power.
Engines I have worked on: G3608A4 Gas Compression, G3520 Non-Road Mobile, G3516 Stand-By and CG-18 SI NG Engine
