Josiah Deuteronomy

After seeing the state of Yeshivas in the 1972 Josiah realized that something must be done to help the next generation. This inspired him to open Yeshivat Milafafon Tzion named after his grandfather Milafafon Tzion. Josiah's ingenuity lead him to create a fresh new Yeshiva with an open mindset. Josiah visioned a place where talmidim are able to grow at their own place while keeping their personality and not radically flipping out. Today his vision turned into a top hezdor Yeshiva with over 180 talmidim in the yeshiva and a surplus of Rebbeim, it is the most competitive Yeshiva to get into.

Rav Chetzi Chetzi

Our Rosh Yeshiva with over 50 years of experience in chinnuch in yeshivas like Mercaz, Gush, and Sandalim he is the heart and soul of our yeshiva bringing together Milafafonim and showing the boys what it means to be a Mench.

Rav Shmaryahu Tzanchanim

Besides being our mashgiach, Rav Tzanchanim is also the leader of the Milafafon Sphardi Program (MSP) he takes the boys on trips to meet famous sphardic rabayim, as well as his famous cook your own cricket class.

Rabbi Aryeh Yisroel Laffa

Menahel of our Yeshiva Rabbi Laffa is one the greatest Torah minds of our generation and a true role model to our talmidim. After fighting in Vietnam in 1955 Rabbi Laffa saw how important Torah is for the world today and decided to open his own Yeshiva. 15 years after creating his own Yeshiva, Torat Agvaniah, he decided to move to Milafafonim where he gives one of the highest level Shanah Alef shiurm in the world.

Rav Daniel Dovid Boreka

Rav Boreka is our local kabbalah expert and one of the Shanah Alef morning seder rabayim. His top notch Iyun shiur keeps the boys locked in and excited to learn. After teaching in Shaalavim for 18 years he is both Shtark and relatable and is always available to Shmooze or Hock with the talmidim. Other than morning seder he also gives a mordern Jewish history class in the afternoon.

Rabbi Gorden Jinzberg

When you think of the ideal Rabbi you think of Rabbi Jinzberg after spending 5th year in DRS Rabbi Jinzberg signed on to our all star roster, and he is like MJ in his prime. Rabbi Jinzberg grew up a regular modern orthodox kid just like anyone else, he was on the basketball team, he had a girlfriend in high school who he ended up marrying, he was your average kid. But eventually he escaped the sandbox and made it out of the 516. Now he is the most renowned musur speaker for high school students and gives our 3rd shanah alef shiur.

Rav Yisachar Sababah

Senior Ram Shanah bet - Rav Sababa has been in the chinuch velt for the last 21 years. Besides for giving a vigorous and intense iyun shiur, he is also a professor at Bar Ilan University (so you know he is smart). In the afternoon he sits and Shmoozes with the boys about life and stuff. At night he gives a Nach biyun shiur for all of those scholorly boys. He and his family live on our campus and his house is always open except when he is not home.

Rav Shimon Shulam Schwaram

Our most popular Shanah Bet Shiur Rebbi, Rav Schwarma teaches his Talmidim the next level of Gemara reading and understanding. He is also head of recruitment making his way all around America finding the best students in the world for our Yeshiva. The love Rav Schwarma brings to Melafafon Tzion keeps the fire of torah going strong amain amain seleh vaed.

Rabbi Golani Cohen

Apart from giving a Shanah Bet shiur and running brunch Rabbi Cohen is also the mashbiah of the weekly trips. Taking the boys to the shuk, maaras hamachplea, bar habayis, and schem. Rabbi Cohen majored in Jewish Art History Literature and is well suited to be showing the boys around our homeland. His historical knowledge of the land of Isreal teaches the boys more than you can ever get sitting in a classroom.

Rav Menachem Mendel Ahmba

After 13.7 years at Yeshivat Hakotel, Rav Ahmba decided to take his talents to Milafafon Tzion. Here in Yeshiva he is the Shoel Umashiv for all shiurim, we believe one size fits all. Besides for being our Shoel Umashiv, he also runs our intense doubles tables tennis intramurals as well as the annual chumas making contest.

Rabbi Dr. Shmuel Eliyahu Schug

The glue of our Yeshiva Rav Schug runs our night seder program from 8:00 - 10:00 helping the telmidim with their bikius skills. A talmud of the Alter of Slavudka and an alumni of Punavitch Rabbi Shug makes Milafafonim as special as it is. He runs speical programing like weekly kumzitzis and his famous nature tours. He is a man to admire and continues to make our yeshiva better every day.

Rabbi Rachamim Chips

Our esteemed Shanah Gimal Rabbi, Rabbi Chips is at the forefront of the kiruv movement and a Rabbi to connect with. His Musur Shmoozes get millions of listens on Torah Anytime and are heard throughout the world. Rabbi Chips has been with us for 10 years and is one of the fastest growing Rabbi's in popularity and is one of the things that makes Milafafon Tzion so special.

Sargent Omer daron Uri Tzahal

Our head of security Omer served for 30 years in the navy seal under Commander Blart and after making aliyah decided to take his security expertise to our Yeshiva. His mastermind has kept our Yeshiva safe as long as we've been open and he is an integral part of keeping our talmidim safe which is our top priority.

Zabar "Papi" Falafel

Our 5 Star chef Zabar prepares 4 meals every day for the boys with a wide spread of options. Zabar is a master of cuisine a Nigerian refugee with the greatest cooking skills the world has seen, this has earned him the rank of "Papi". His famous meal include string cheese, falafel, and filet mignon.

Vladamir Virgo

Head of janitorial staff, Vlad is one of the most important parts of Milafafon Tzion he is there 24/7 to clean the many messes caused by the talmidim and he does it with the biggest smile on his face. After spending 7 years in DRS he and his wife moved to Israel and we thank G-d every day he decided to work with us.
