The Islamic University of Kalimantan (UNISKA) Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest private university in South Kalimantan. Founded by the UNISKA Foundation, the university's establishment was formalized through the Notary Deed of Bachtiar Number 6, dated July 7, 1981. Shortly after, on July 18, 1981, the Islamic University of Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari was officially inaugurated, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of higher education in the region.
Today, UNISKA MAB boasts an impressive academic infrastructure with ten faculties, 21 undergraduate study programs, and five graduate programs (PASCASARJANA or Master's programs). Over the decades, the university has made significant contributions to the intellectual and professional landscape, producing thousands of graduates who have gone on to excel in various fields.
