Yeon Jin Kim
Welcome!
I am Yeon Jin Kim, a Ph.D. candidate at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
My research interests are entrepreneurship and innovation, with a particular focus on how various stakeholders and structural interventions influence startup survival, growth, and innovation. Broadly, I ask: What forms of support, from which stakeholders, are most beneficial to startups? and how do these effects vary across startups?
In my dissertation, I focus on mentors, examining how founders vary in the mentors they seek, how this variation affects the mentors they are matched with, and how mentor matching influences mentorship effectiveness.
