I am a lecturer and researcher in literary studies. I hold a PhD in English from University College Cork (Ireland), where my project on John McGahern and modernity was fully funded by an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship. I am interested in Irish studies, modernism(s), periodical studies, and middlebrow culture studies. I am currently working on a project that investigates Irish writers' connections with The New Yorker magazine in the mid-20th century.
