Yemaya is the Mother of Oceans. Her number is 7 and her day is Saturday. She is the Patron Goddess and Protector of Women and Children, Fertility Goddess, and Goddess of Love. She is also the Patron Deity of Fishermen and the Survivors of Shipwrecks, the Spirit of Moonlight, and the Ruler of Dreams.

- Offerings to Yemaya should be made on Saturdays.
- When possible make offerings in groups of 7 and and decorating her altar in factors of 7. For example, I have seven blue and white candles (her colors) on my Yemaya altar.
- Watermelon is her favorite food. Offer it to her.
- When at the beach, send her watermelon directly into the sea.
- Always thank her.

I long for a child that I may birth and nurture as you have this world
Please help me in conceiving a healthy happy child. Please aid me in becoming a mother.
Please grant me this request.
