Yellowstone is located in the taiga biome. It is located in the northern parts of the map and lies between the tundra to the north and temperate forests to the south. The taiga also known as the called the boreal forest or coniferous forest is a forest of the cold, subarctic region. A fact about the taiga is that it only has two seasons.
