I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Dickinson College.
I am an applied microeconomics researcher specialized in Labor Economics, Development Economics, and Health Economics. My work examines pressing topics such as the labor market and social welfare effects of macroeconomic shocks (e.g., economic downturns and the digital revolution), rural-urban inequality in China, and households’ marriage and fertility decisions. I am also actively exploring new avenues for research that build upon my existing work or open up fresh inquiries into areas such as public economics and the application of machine learning techniques. Please refer to Research for more information.
At Dickinson, I primarily teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and elective courses that apply applied econometric methods in both economics and finance. In the 2025 - 2026 academic year, I am scheduled to teach ECON 112: Introduction to Macroeconomics, ECON 278: Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, and an upper-level elective ECON 314: Empirical Finance.
