Yehawli receives funding from the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity (OMAD) for programming annually. In order to continue securing these funds, we are expected to:
Provide a list of Student Names and IDs (sign in sheets)
Document our programming - photos, narratives
Write end of the quarter reports
In our registration, we ask for additional information to better connect with you. Knowing the Indigenous community you belong to and your major/minor gives us an idea of what kinds of opportunities to share and contact information allows us to notify you of upcoming meetings.
Yehawli seeks to foster a collective that welcomes the entire Indigenous community regardless of whether you are an enrolled student or not. Our bi-weekly meetings are not exclusive to enrolled students but open to alumni, elders, and community members.
The benefit of being a community member is that you can build/retain community connections with Indigenous scholars at UW, network, and have access to community resources, opportunities, etc. As a community member, we have you register so that we can share meeting times, community resources, and opportunities directly.
To register as a community member, fill out the form below.
