I am a PhD candidate in the Optical Diagnostics Laboratory within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. My research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics with an emphasis on optical diagnostic techniques and advanced imaging systems applied to microfluidics and biological flows. I specialize in designing experiments that reveal the interactions between cells, particles, and fluids at the microscale, with applications in biomedical devices and bioengineering. I hold both MSc and BSc degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic University, where I developed a strong foundation in fluid dynamics through experimental and numerical studies, which I now apply to investigate complex biological transport phenomena.
