Jackson grew up in the St. Louis area as well as Austin, Texas, and moved to Charleston at age 17.
Jackson has an English degree from EIU and is now working on a TV and Video degree, heading into his final year.
Jackson has also previously served as Secretary for Christian Campus Fellowship during the 2018-19 school year.
Jackson also definitely hits more shots on the SRC basketball courts than everyone else in the organization combined.
Sharifa is the founder of EIU YDSA and has previously served in leadership and administrative positions such as a student advisor to the campus police, coordinator of the EIU FMLA Fall 2021 relaunch, and coordinator for EIU University Board’s Special Event’s Committee.
Sharifa is skilled in public relations, graphic design, and advocacy and is a current student leader in EIU’s chapter of Black Lives Matter.
Sharifa’s political philosophy is rooted in intersectionality or "the belief and understanding that all struggles, and thus all people, are connected."
Sharifa can beat everyone in town in a foot race, is a published author, and can do the worm.
Keegan has lots of leadership experience in different organizations ranging from Model U.N. to Boy Scouts, to church, to Student Government, to French club, to even this organization!
In his free time, Keegan likes to cooka da meatballs (Avon apron included), as well as shake his fist at God.
