1. Overview
PocketThrust is an Android application built and operated by Ydol Labs ("we," "us," or "our") as a free service. This SERVICE is provided by Ydol Labs at no cost and is intended for use as-is. This document informs users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
2. Local Data Storage & Privacy-First Architecture
PocketThrust operates on a 100% local data storage model:
Your Data Stays on Your Device: All financial records, transaction logs, exchange rates, custom budgets, business instances, generated PDF reports, attached image receipts, and personal settings created within PocketThrust are stored strictly inside your device's isolated internal storage (via Android Room SQLite Database).
No Server Transfers: We do not host external database servers. Ydol Labs does not collect, transmit, upload, sell, or store your personal financial data or app usage logs.
App Uninstallation: Because your data exists purely on your local hardware, uninstalling the PocketThrust app will permanently delete all local application database files.
3. Hardware Access & Device Features
PocketThrust utilizes built-in Android platform features strictly to deliver offline app functionality:
Android Biometric API: Used solely to secure access to the app (Fingerprint, Face Unlock, or Device Credentials). Biometric authentication is handled entirely by the hardware security enclave of the Android operating system. PocketThrust never views, accesses, or stores raw biometric data.
Local Notifications & Reminders: The app uses local system alarms (AlarmManager / WorkManager) to trigger transaction reminders locally on your phone. No network connections or server pushes are involved.
4. Third-Party Web APIs & SDKs
While PocketThrust does not collect your data directly, the app integrates with two external service providers:
A. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
PocketThrust uses Google AdMob to serve banner advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically processes certain technical device diagnostics to deliver, measure, and secure ad delivery. Data processed by AdMob may include:
Device Identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID) and App Set ID.
Technical & Diagnostic Data: IP address (used to estimate approximate location for localized ads), app crash logs, launch times, and ad interaction data.
For more details on how Google processes ad data, review Google's Privacy & Terms.
B. Open Exchange Rates API
PocketThrust connects to [https://open.er-api.com](https://open.er-api.com) via secure HTTPS to fetch public currency conversion rates. No personal identifiers or financial amounts are sent with this request; it is a read-only request for global conversion tables.
5. Children’s Privacy
PocketThrust does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
