I joined the collaboration studying E+As. My work evolved to focus on interacting E+A galaxies, given that merging is thought to be a possible catalyst for galaxy quenching. My poster on the topic for AAS 237, written with Maya Joyce, also in the collaboration, can be found under the "Research" tab above!
I have work experience as an engineering assistant to the chief scientist in an engineering company, focusing on internal R&D and quality control.
I also enjoy playing music, baking, and a good old board game on the side!

I was one of the organizers of the Y/Dim Research Collaboration project studying the presence of E+A galaxies in various clusters, which I started working on in my junior year of high school! My work now specifically studies the presence of E+A galaxy candidates located in the Leo Cluster, for which I won the Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Undergraduate Honorable Mention during the 237th American Astronomical Society Meeting.
At Harvard, I plan on pursuing a bachelor's degree in the physical sciences or engineering, and I am also a part of a few clubs including the Harvard Astronomical Society where I recently learned how to operate an on-campus observatory! Outside of school and astronomy, I enjoy going on hikes and reading.

So far, my research has focused on identifying and analyzing E+A galaxy candidates' spectra within the Coma Cluster using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Currently, I am expanding my skills in using MaNGA data for a more in-depth analysis of these galaxies. At my college, I work as a math and physics tutor and am the Vice President of the Physics and Astronomy club. In addition to research, I am hoping my future work involves science communication and education.

My research along with three other members focus on finding E+A candidates in a 10 sq degree region around the two giant elliptical galaxies at the center of the Coma cluster using the SDSS Skyserver. We are graphically analyzing our obtained result with the x-ray map of the coma cluster to arrive at possible causes for the observed pattern of E+A candidates.

I am currently a high school senior. I recently submitted a paper entitled “E+A Galaxy Candidates in and around the Perseus Cluster, Abell 2162, and Abell 2063” to the Regeneron Science Talent Search. I am planning on majoring in engineering next year and will be continuing astronomy research.
