YCT Online Test is an independent educational practice app. It does not require an account and it does not show advertising.

Data stored on the device

Exam answers, attempt history, scores, progress and app preferences are stored locally on the device. This information is removed when the user resets progress, clears the app's data or uninstalls the app, subject to the device's own backup behaviour.

Data processed off the device

The app uses the following services:

Firebase Analytics: app interactions, screen views, session and lifecycle events, purchase events, app version, device/app information, an app-instance identifier and an approximate region derived from the IP address. Firebase does not provide the publisher with the user's name, email address or exact location through this integration.

Firebase Crashlytics: crash and non-fatal error logs, diagnostics, app state, app and operating-system version, device metadata, and Firebase/Crashlytics installation identifiers.

Google Play Billing and RevenueCat: product and purchase status, price and currency, entitlement status and an anonymous app customer identifier. Google Play processes the payment; the app does not receive complete payment-card details.

Firebase Firestore feedback: only when the user chooses to send feedback, the message, feedback type and surface, app version, platform, timestamp and relevant level, exam or question context are stored. Feedback summaries may be delivered to the support team by email through Resend.

The app disables collection of the Google advertising ID and Android SSAID for Analytics. It does not sell personal data, use behavioural advertising or share data with data brokers.

Why the data is used

Data is processed only to operate, maintain and support the app; verify purchases and restore paid access; understand aggregate feature usage and improve the learning experience; diagnose crashes, errors and performance problems; answer feedback and correct exam-content issues; and prevent abuse and protect the service.

For users in the European Economic Area, these activities rely on performance of the digital-content service requested by the user and the publisher's legitimate interests in maintaining, securing and improving the app. Optional feedback is submitted at the user's choice.

Service providers and international processing

Google/Firebase, RevenueCat and Resend process data on behalf of the publisher to provide the functions described above. Their systems may process data outside the user's country. They apply their own contractual and legal safeguards. Data transmitted by the app and these service APIs is encrypted in transit.

Retention and deletion

Local progress remains on the device until it is reset or the app data is removed. Purchase records are retained as required to provide and restore paid access and to comply with accounting, fraud-prevention and legal obligations. Analytics and crash information follows the retention settings configured for Firebase. Feedback is kept only while it is useful to investigate and resolve the message, meet security or legal needs, or until a valid deletion request can be completed.

To request access, correction or deletion of identifiable data, email sedvory@gmail.com. Include enough non-sensitive detail to help locate the record, such as the approximate feedback date and its text. Because the app has no account and most identifiers are pseudonymous, some analytics or crash records may not be linkable to a specific person. Users can also erase local progress from the app's settings.

Users in the EEA may also object to or request restriction of certain processing, request data portability where applicable, and complain to their local data-protection authority.

Children

The app is designed for learners and may be used by children with a parent, guardian or teacher. We do not ask children to create an account or intentionally request their name, email address, phone number, exact location or other direct contact information. The feedback form instructs users not to include personal information. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's data at sedvory@gmail.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app, its providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
